Need help recovering TCL/Alcatel Trek/AT&T Trek HD (9020A) 8" Tablet

Hi all,

If someone could please help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I have an AT&T Trek HD (9020A) 8" tablet. Here is a link
to specifications that I've found while trying to research how to recover the device. The most detailed information
about the tablet I have found is on pdadb.com with this as the datasheet: TCL Trek HD LTE Datasheet
[http://ift.tt/2amcajj]. When I boot normally by just pressing the power
button for ~1 second, absolutely nothing happens. When I hold power down and volume up for 5 seconds it shows the
AT&T splash screen for 2-3 seconds the displays the following:

Android System Recover <3e>
LMY47V release-keys

Volume up/down to move highlight;
Enter button to select.

I select English from the menu and I am presented with the following:

Volume up/down to move highlight;
Enter button to select.

English
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from phone storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down

Here is the result of each option:

reboot system now - This results in the device 1st loading the AT&T splash screen followed by the Android 'Welcome'
screen. On this screen there is an error message that immediately displays:

Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.
OK

If I click [OK] it immediately displays the error message again.

I can't get past this error message to setup my Google account on the device.

I am not sure how to proceed from this point. I have search ALL over for a factory or alternate ROM for this device
and I can't find anything that specifically addresses this device. I found that datasheet link but I do not know what
to look for to see if perhaps there is another device's ROM would work on this device.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Mike
