A few days ago I was having problems with slow load times for any app I tried to use, but I figured it was because I had a low battery at the time. I recharged it over night and the problem didn't persist, but another problem cropped up. The screen stopped auto rotating, even though it was set to do so in settings. It would only rotate if I switched to an app with the opposite orientation to the one I was at. I don't normally power off my tablet, but I figured I'd tried that. At the time I powered it off, the battery was about 30-40% charged and currently being charged just fine. I shut the tablet off and then waited a few seconds before trying to turn it back on. But, it wouldn't turn back on. I tried a couple of times before deciding to leave it to charge over night. I never did get the charging icon you usually see when it's turned off and charging though.
Anyway, got up the next morning and tried again to start it up, but nothing. I promptly got online and checked to see what I could do. I tried everything. Including everything that's in the Google Nexus guide on their website. Holding the power button down for 30 seconds and more. Holding the power button and volume down button simultaneously for 20 seconds and more. Even found a guide that suggested taking the back case off and disconnecting the battery for 2 minutes. Tried that and nothing. Nothing happens when I plug the tablet up to charge. At this point my fear is that the battery is dead, or even worse the motherboard.
Also to add, the tablet was rooted at the time, but it was something I did a year ago, and hadn't updated it since. I also noticed that when I plug my tablet into my computer it shows up in Device Manager as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3). After doing some searching, I've read that, that means the tablet is hardbricked and the bootloader may be corrupted.
I'm wondering if there's someway to check if the emmc is fried, or if there's any other suggestions.
