Bad to keep phone on wireless stand after full?

I have the wireless charger under my monitors and it looks nice right in front of me so I can see notifications and the always on display but I was wondering if it is bad to keep the phone on the stand after hitting 100%. I heard that the phone is programmed to stop taking in the charge to protect it, can anyone confirm?
