Audio difference

So I've discovered something recently and was wondering if this only affects me. Using the NextRadio app, now that the fm chip has be activated, I've notice that the audio is fuller, louder, and overall much better than what I would get with regular flac files or streaming through Rhapsody. Why is that? Also uhq upscaler doesn't effect the audio and neither does the eq which makes me wonder if the dac and amp in the phone are being held back by software. Can someone also check this out? If you use the NextRadio app you might have to give it a few seconds after choosing a station. I noticed the audio greatly improves after but idk it might just be my phone. I've also noticed that when opening a game the audio changes drastically over fm giving it a lot more bottom end. This is really strange to me, Thanks!
