Photos and More Specs of the Huawei MediaPad M5 10 Pro Leak

There hasn't been a new flagship Android tablet in quite some time, but some OEMs are still pumping out devices year after year. One is Huawei, which launched the MediaPad M2 in 2017. Since the device's unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017, some predicted the company would take the wraps off its successor, MediaPad M5 series, at CES 2018. But the company appears to be saving the big announcement for Mobile World Congress.

We first heard about Huawei's MediaPad M5 tablet lineup last week, when Roland Quandt of WinFuture leaked some information about three different models. It looks as though the company is planning to launch three new tablets in two screen sizes: the 8-inch MediaPad M5 8 (which goes by the codename "Schubert"), the 8-inch MediaPad M5 10 ("Cameron"), and lastly, the 10-inch MediaPad M5 10 Pro ("Cameron Pro").

It's the MediaPad M5 10 Pro we're hearing more about today. We already knew that the device would have a 10-inch display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, support for Huawei's M-Pen stylus, LTE connectivity. Today, WinFuture revealed that it'll have a display resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a premium all-metal chassis.

The home button and fingerprint reader are on the side (a change from the MediaPad M2), and the camera module is rather large, which seems to indicate that it'll be a major feature of the new tablet. WinFuture also published some high-quality press renders that not only show off the design, but reveal that Huawei will be selling an official folio case alongside the device.

There's no word yet on how much it'll cost or when it'll go on sale, but WinFuture reported recently that it'll cost €520 ($643).
