Tether to Replace Home Internet - Closed Port Issue

I want to start out by stating this may be a general Verizon issue, but was hoping to get some input here first on the issue I'm facing.

My situation is that I want to replace my home cable internet with my LG G4 via tethering. I installed a wireless card on a desktop computer, connected it to VZW network via wifi tethering from the G4, enabled connection sharing on the desktop computer, then plugged an Ethernet cord from the desktop into the WAN port of my home firewall/router. This worked perfectly, giving the rest of my home devices internet via my 4G connection!

However I have some externally facing services, such as VPN and RD Gateway that don't seem to work over the 4G connection. I've done some troubleshooting and have a suspicion inbound communication on these ports is possible blocked by Verizon.

Sidenote - these services are configured with a Dynamic DNS provider - the external IP address does change correctly when I cutover to 4G service.

I reverted my home network back to the way it was and started focusing on the G4. I played with iptables (I'm rooted) with no luck. I attempted to open ftp connection to the G4 on port 2221 with no luck (using FTPServer & FTP Server Plus apps), still nothing. I changed the port a few times to something random > 1032, still nothing.

Does anyone know if Verizon is blocking external inbound communication, or possibly if there is something on the G4 I'm overlooking?

Any information is appreciated! If I can get through this issue, I can cut my ties to Comcast!!

Need Stock like camera for CM

Just observed that the camera quality of CM is much worse than stock camera in OOS. Is there any camera app which can give the same quality as stock one?

Total Wireless now with LTE ?

I just visited Walmart & seen a LTE V-CDMA byod simcard kit. When did this happened? 5gig data $35? 2 line 8gig shared $60 ?
Haven't seen any news about Total Wireless, this could shake up the MVNO prices.

Is XperiFirm trustworthy?

Hello.

This is my first post, and might be my only one as well. Since I am
not allowed to post into developers' forums, I post this here. I'm
sorry for any inconvenience caused, if any.

After setting things up (download and install Mono, download and
uncompress XperiFirm then reboot) to use XperiFirm on my Mac, I wanted
to check if I could download Xperia firmwares directly from Sony's
servers.

Assuming XperiFirm downloads files directly from Sony, I asked a
friend a command that could give me what I'd need. He gave me two, one
of which (
Code:

$ lsof -i
) returned some interesting results.
At the
Code:

mono-sgen
command line, the connection is
established with an IP address that Whois says belonging to a single
person located in Santa Monica, California. I tried that while
downloading Xperia Z3+'s Android 5.0.2*, 32.2.A.0.224 / R3C and Xperia
Z3's 23.5.A.0.575 / R9D. I won't give more info on what I found, if
you want to know more you'll have to check this out by yourself.
I don't understand. I am still far from being a network computing and
IT security professional, but I'm not sure Sony would register as one
single person. I don't imply that something stinks, I only say I find
this rather strange.**

If the files were retrieved directly from Sony by someone and stored
on their server to be downloaded, why not keep the files even when
Sony deletes them? Is XperiFirm using some sort of intermediate
service hosted by someone?
Could someone explain me this? I found the official thread to be
elusive about how XperiFirm works.

Thank you. Have a nice day.

* I can't recall this Android version's associated Sony Xperia Z3+
firmware's name since it since disappeared, but I first noticed this
at the time it was still available — some months ago.
** Still, Maps' Street view shows what appears to be a black building
that looks more like a workplace than a home to me.

Screenshot Samsung galaxy core 2 SM-G355HN

Hello gentlemen. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Screenshot again for Samsung galaxy core 2 SM-G355HN. I did this (power button and home button together). I did it two times but not correctly. Shows the original Google now display (news weather. ..) And make screenshot only in this picture. The device is not a technical problem. I saw in a video to make someone into a Samsung device (I have the link). there is a video of my own device; There is this possibility; We need to see somebody do it in Galaxy core 2 SM-G355HN. Friendly greetings - Alkis.
