android version update

i have a kyocera hydro and i was trying to use the chrysler uconnect app and it was working then it stopped. the tech's at the service told me that there was an update to 4.3 and that i have to get a new phone to make this work. tell me when android updates it's versions does that make all the older apps quit working? or are they like windows and your older programs still work? and was there really and update for that phone? if so how can i get it. i have 2 phones with this ap they are both the same phone and version on them. one has a phone carrier metro and mine has no phone service. my phone is the one that stopped working on that app. the other phone works either in airplane mode or not. if the tech's are correct and there was an update how do i get it. even the phone with metro can't get the update if there was one. thanks

[CBUMP][BOOT] Bump Your Current Boot Image

Uses:
1) Fix boot partition after flashing SuperSU.
2) Flash any boot.img you want without BUMPing it first. Flash this zip after flashing the non-BUMPed boot.img.
3) Fix boot cert error.**
**This will fix boot cert error as long as you are on JB/KK bootloader. If you broke your phone and got boot cert error by upgrading your bootloader to LP, this won't help.

Use: Simply flash in TWRP.

Every year I seem to remember they give a bunch. 3-month subscription to some magazine, 100GB of OneDrive space, a game, that kind of stuff.
Couldn't find anything searching.

Or maybe they aren't doing that since they are giving away those VRs.

Call sometimes go straight to voicemail without ringing

I've missed a few calls during the last few days. When it happen, the phone doesn't ring at all and the call doesn't even appear in the calls history. It's just that I can catch them when I see a new voice message. My phone is on Marshmallow with Koodo/Telus provider. What could be the cause of this problem, maybe a bad SIM card? I even called Koodo tech support but they weren't helpful they only told me to look into phone app settings. What I did on my side: I installed latest version of Squid kernel thinking it could be because the old version of kernel had a bug and I cleared Dalvik cache.

Why is no one talking about the color shifting on the display?

I'm shocked to see no one mentioning this, I can only think of Erica griffin's review for the s6 edge.... the s6 edge had the same issue and unfortunately the s7 edge has it too :crying: , the display has one fatal flaw in my opinion , there's very visible color shifting on the "edges" you can see very visible blue lines on the each side of the display, where the glass is curved , it's VERY apparent on every app with a white bakcground like the browser, calendar, messaging app :crying:

Doesn't it bother you? For me it's an absolute deal breaker :crying:

nexus 5x brick does not turn on

Hello everyone, I have not solved my problem of my nexus 5x, virtually the phone is detected by PC "QHSUSB_BULK" no signs of life, does not turn the display does not go into bootloader then only if I connect to the PC me He recognizes QHSUSB_BULK. how can I restore it?
